Company Timeline

2010

On July 1st, Insight SiP received the “Entreprise Innovante des Pôles” label. Insight SiP is one of the first companies to receive this award from Pôle de Compétitivité SCS, or SCS Cluster. The label is provided by each ‘Pôle’ to small innovative companies showing strong growth potential.


A ‘Pôle de compétitivité’ is a cluster of companies, research laboratories and training institutions created to develop cooperation, encourage and fund innovative developments in a specific geographical region in France.
There are in France 71 ‘Pôles de Compétitivité’, among those 7 are ‘Pôles de Compétitivité mondial’.

2009

- During 2009, the company raised funds for the second time since its inception, which brought the total amount of investment to 1M€.
- Insight SiP designed its first quad band GSM antenna module.
- Insight SiP developed a 3G/4G FEM for next generation mobile phones.

2008

- The company set up a sales office in the US. Insight SiP designed its first combination module integrating WLAN, Bluetooth and FM technologies.
- Insight SiP designed its first Antenna-in-Package module.

2007

- The company set up a sales office in Japan.
- Design successes included:
7-band GSM/3G half mini PCIe card
a GPS module
a GSM/3G transceiver module
a very low profile GPS module (0.8 mm)

- Insight SiP received the label ‘Jeune Entreprise Innovante’ (Young Innovative Company) and became a research center approved by the French Ministry of Education and Research.

Under some conditions French companies using our services can get the benefit of a research tax credit (crédit d’impôt recherche - CIR)

2006

- Insight SiP designed the smallest WLAN module in the world. This design was for Nanoradio AB.

2005

- Insight SiP started as an incubated company by PACA Est incubator.
- By the end of 2005, the founders set up the company's first office and started offering design services.
